A parking lot and a picnic bench are the only things you'll find at the trailhead. This wildlife area, situated on a busy section of Olive Blvd, is easy to overlook. But check out this oasis when you need a break.

Park and walk north along a pasture for a bit until the trail dives into the woods. As you walk down the steep hill, St. Louis County recedes behind you and you are left looking down on the Missouri River Valley. A bench at the western end of the trail allows you to sit and enjoy the view.

A few steep sections give this trail an Intermediate rating. But most of this trail is easy walking on a well-worn path. Be aware the parking lot can fill up at lunch time during the week.
