Description

This massive mountain is almost 23,000 feet high and the highest point in all of the Americas. Its name comes from the Quechua word for "Sentinel of Stone" or "White Sentinel." As one the technically easiest of the Seven Summits, Aconcagua is one of the busiest mountaineering destinations in the world.

Overnight Trip: The summit can be approached from the Aconcagua Trail - Confluencia Section or from the other side on the Punta de Vacas Trail- Pampa de Leñas Section.
