From the Punta de Vacas - Casa de Piedra Section turn west into the valley that leads like a funnel toward the summit. The trail starts with a couple of powerful climbs in the first three miles and then takes a more steady build. At around 2.5 miles you'll make a creek crossing. Shortly after this the valley opens up more. After awhile along the left hand side you'll see more red earth which is a good indication that you soon arrive at Plaza de Argentina. Medical checks will be administered here for folks moving higher up the mountain.
