You can access the start of this trail either from the Trilha dos Escravos Loop or the Cachoeira de Congonhas Road. From the road, you can park your car next to the restaurant Chapeu do Sol, and the beginning of the trail is quite quiet down a road before you start the first climb. At the end of the trail, you'll reach the Congonhas Waterfall, where it is possible to stay in the upper part of the river where the water is shallow or to descend through the rocks until you reach the bottom with a deeper well and a larger waterfall.
