Trail Run Project Logo

Singletrack, rocks, roots, and elevation all make this an excellent but strenuous loop.

Runner Notes

Watch your step! The western section is the more technical of the ascent/descent.

There's a new connector to Trail Among the Trees on the western side as well, so you can combine the two for more fun.

Description

The upper ridge is very navigable, and either way you decide to run the trail, the loop provides lots of elevation and technical challenge. You'll start in the lower part of the park, and from there you'll have a steep climb to the ridgeline. After the flatter terrain along the ridge, there will be another steep descent leading back to the parking area.

You'll often see deer and occasionally turkey. Along the road, you have a small water crossing and will be treated to llamas and alpacas on the other side.
