Runner Notes

This is a good, even-surfaced trail for running.

Description

Leaving the parking lot, stay left to access the trail. Cash Point Trail will be off to your right after a couple hundred yards. As the trail continues, you'll stay close to the edge of the river as you pass through the forest. As you come to the far end of the bend, you'll enter a section of pine forest with a bench and the other end of the Cash Point Trail.

The trail becomes a bit more rocky from here, eventually arriving at a larger basaltic rock formation: Little Blowing Rock. To head back to the parking lot, you can take the Natural Heritage Trail, which connects up to the Cash Point Trail.
