The easiest of the singletrack ascents/descents in Doughton Park, but, man, it is sweet with great views along the way.

Runner Notes

It is almost completely runnable either direction. This trail is also pretty smooth with few technical sections, which means you can bomb straight down it, which is always fun.

Description

Making up one of the four trails that start at the bottom of Doughton Park and lead up to the parkway and Mountains to Sea Trail, Flat Rock Ridge might be my favorite. It is very manageable in either direction, and there are a couple of great overlooks along the way that give you breathtaking views of the park.
