Description
This trail, often called Old Railroad Trail, is signed as Common Pathway. It starts from Peterborough, on Summer Street, and follows a mostly paved path. It passes by a parking area (on the left), then follows the road for a ways. It veers right (off the road), and parallels Summer Street. It crosses over Hunt Road and follows Tarbell Road. It crosses over Southfield Lane and travels to Route 202. It mostly follows the sidewalk, then turns right beneath the overpass. Here, there is another parking area (to the left). From here, the trail is mostly crushed gravel and there are very few paved sections. The trail mostly parallels the Contoocook River and appears to end at S Elmwood Road.
