Description [Suggest Changes]

This trail begins at the Ranch Road Trail just before it turns eastward. There is an old gate with some signage that provides a great waypoint to signify the start of the trail.

Once on the trail, you'll follow an old levee that starts out heavily wooded, but then opens up a bit as you pass some small overflow ponds. This trail follows the levee the entire length of the preserve, providing you access to the entire eastern portion.

The later half of the trail is bordered by some open farmland to the south, eventually ending at the bridge where Beltline Road passes over the Trinity River. Overall, this is a great trail that enables this preserve to be entirely accessed by the general public. Thanks to DORBA, the trail is well signed and easily navigable.
