Description

This trail provides access between Old San Pablo Trail along EBMUD's San Pablo Reservoir and Nimitz Way Trail and Curran Trail at Tilden Regional Park's Inspiration Point. From Old San Pablo Trail, follow this trail uphill to a crossing of San Pablo Dam Road. (CAUTION! This vehicle road has a 50 mph speed limit. There is a crosswalk, but do not assume that vehicles see you and will yield to you.)

Continue steeply uphill through grazing land as views of the reservoir and beyond open to the northeast. As it nears the top of the ridge, this trail switches in and out of canyons and eventually contours toward the south along the hillside. At its upper end, this trail reaches Inspiration Point (views, restrooms, maps, free parking) and a junction with Nimitz Way Trail and Curran Trail in Tilden Regional Park.
