A paved trail along the ridge that is great for hiking, running, and sightseeing.

Description

The Nimitz Way Trail traverses the eastern section of Tilden Regional Park. It has a paved surface until you reach the San Pablo Ridge Trail. There are some very minor hills along the way, but overall the trail is rolling and the route is pretty popular. There is free parking, water, and some bathrooms at Inspiration Point.

Great views throughout of the bay/the reservoir. Very little shade after initial stretch. Lots of cow droppings after about 2 miles in. Rolling hills. 7mi — 1h 24m
