Description
Mammoth Rock is a well-known local landmark. This rock formation in the shape of a mammoth, and its trunk is best viewed from the north. The mammoth appears to be facing to the east and even appears to have an eye from certain angles.
Short Run: Located about 1.4 miles along Ron Coleman Trail from Smugglers Pass Trailhead (or the back end of the Ron Coleman Trail when coming from McKelligon Canyon trailhead).
Smugglers Pass Trailhead is currently closed while the lower portion of the trail is rerouted and to allow for rehabilitation of the area.
