East Inlet Vista, Grand Lake, Colorado

Description

The trail is unkempt and rough, and when the water levels are high the trails are partly underwater, but when the trees open up, they reveal the most gorgeous vista. Tall walls of rock, a cascading stream, and in the summer, fields of flowers.

Overnight Trip: ~11 miles, ish on the East Inlet Trail.

I spoke with the Park Service and they said they'd try to get some kind of notification up on Rec.gov. But if you're planning to do the loop, even as a runner, it's impassable due to fallen trees.
