There is no public access from the eastern extent of this trail on Thomas Ln.

Description

One of the many east-west trails providing access to the Mesa Trail from the surrounding Boulder area. Specifically, Lower Big Bluestem Trail connects Thomas Ln. to Greenbriar Connector, Bluestem Connector, Upper Big Bluestem Trail, and finally, the Mesa Trail.

Lower Big Bluestem starts off very mellow with low angle, lazy climbing up to Upper Big Bluestem Trail on flood-scoured doubletrack and finishes on contouring singletrack as it makes its way to the Mesa Trail.

Soak in the unadulterated views of the Flatirons and the surrounding mesa.
