One of the first waterfalls on the way down to Skogafoss is one of the best. Probably 25 different falls on the way to the big one. Each one unique. This is a must-do section of the trail and can be easily hiked from Skogafoss.

The Fimmvörðuháls / Baldvinsskáli hut in the distance above the cloud cover. There is another hut named Fimmvörðuháls which is VERY confusing. Be sure you know which one you are staying in because the wrong choice could add 1 hour of hiking.
