Description

You can reach this trail by taking Jennings Creek Rd to McFalls Creek Rd then right on Yellowstone Branch (635). You’ll climb to an area where you’ll see a wooden forestry sign on your left and the gravel road ends at a gate. Across from the forestry sign is the trailhead.

Alternatively, you can climb Cove Mountain Trail #23, turn right on the Glenwood Horse Trail segment at the top, and continue about four miles of grassy fire road to the same spot.

The trail starts off flattish and rocky, with a few rougher sections. Once you start downhill in earnest, it’s slanty and side cut into the hill. You’ll reach a sharp, steep left hand switchback then a little more downhill. Two creek crossings will bring you almost to the end, where you’ll cross the creek over a bridge back to Jennings Creek Road.
