Need to Know

Show care at street crossings, since vehicles have the right of way. Grab an ice cream cone at Miranda's in Morrow or grab a bite to eat at the Little River Cafe in Oregonia.

Runner Notes

This is paved. Use it to get to the Hisey Park Prairie Trail, Caesar Creek Gorge Nature Preserve Main Loop, and Fort Ancient Loop Trail and Fort Ancient River Trail.

Description

This section of the bike trail between Morrow and Corwin is in the Little Miami River Valley and gorge. It is paved, with wide, grassy berms that you can use if you don't want to run on asphalt. There is next to no elevation change though the grade is generally a descent in the direction mapped.

As you near Fort Ancient, you'll notice you are in the river gorge, with 200 foot bluffs rising on either side of the river. Look for signage and white blazes indicating the trails you can hop onto from the bike path. Most of the bike path is under tree cover, so it remains nice and shady.

Flora & Fauna

Lots of squirrels and deer, and occasionally a wild turkey.
