The trail is kinda rocky. The official Indian Kitchen Trail would be better suited for running.

This is an alternate trail to get to Lusk Creek Canyon/Indian Kitchen. The official trail from the trailhead is kinda boring until you get to the canyon itself. This trail takes you along Bear Branch Creek with lots of small bluffs and small waterfalls, and the views over the canyon are outstanding during winter.

Directions: After turning at Eddyville onto Indian Kitchen Road, go past the official trailhead and drive all the way to the very end of the road. The road dead-ends at Bear Branch Creek. There's parking for 4 or 5 cars there. Trail 405 to Indian Kitchen is right there on the east side of the road.
