The preserve is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and closes at 4 PM on other days. Check the website for holiday closures / time changes, as there can be penalties when using the preserve during unscheduled times and/or closures.

Runner Notes

Because this is paved, this trail is utilized by runners, primarily for the steep hill at the end of the trail. Runners have been seen running intervals up and down the hill. There is a fair amount of leaves in the fall, which can make the paved trail a little slippery on the hill.

Description

This is a short, paved "easy" trail in the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve that is great for a warm-up or a quick stroll with a pet. If short on time but looking for an escape into nature, this is a great outlet to be amongst the trees and surrounded by foliage, which is beautiful in the fall with all the different colored leaves. The trail is mostly gentle, but has a bit of a steep hill at the end.

Though unblazed, this trail is pretty straightforward and it's not easy to get lost. There are also benches at the start and end of the trail, along with a trail map at both locations.
