Runner Notes

This is a good, even trail with a few rocky sections.

Description

From the Eno River side of the Cole Mill Trail, you start the trail by continuing along the river. When the river takes a sharp bend, it makes for a large, relatively deep swimming hole. At the edge of the hole are some large rocks and boulders that make a natural launching point for lazing by the river. Continue on to see the hollowed-out structure of an old stone building before the trail turns back uphill. As you run back, you get a more bird's-eye view of the building and river.

From here, continue uphill past some group camping. Looping through thick forest, the trail eventually makes its way back to the upper section of Cole Mill Trail.
