Description

South Trail traverses the south slopes of Camelback Mountain. The route starts with easy grades in mixed hardwood forest. There are multiple vistas along the way, overlooking ridgelines to the south.

Just over halfway, the route descends steeply through a couple of switchbacks and then continues on to the North Trail Lower Loop.
