Features Views

Mountain bikes and 4-wheel-drive vehicles are allowed in the park on the backcountry roads. In order to protect yourself and the surrounding ecosystem, mechanical travel is restricted to established roads. Tracks on open desert can remain for years and damages the desert ecosystem while tarnishing the experience for subsequent visitors. Off-road vehicles and all-terrain vehicles may not be used in the park.

Description

This challenging section of dirt road begins off the Pinkham Canyon Road at around the 12.75-mile mark. The road heads west and up a short ways, before beginning a long and fairly gradual descent to the south past Berdoo/Thermal Canyon Trail, ending at Aqueduct Road.

Portions of these roads head through soft sand and rocky flood plains. Anyone traveling through this area should be prepared with emergency supplies and adequate vehicle clearance for 4x4 terrain.
