Overview

Grayson Highlands is Virginia's third largest state park and the HIGHEST state park in Virginia. The park is best known for beautiful views and wild ponies that live in the highlands. It is also one of the few remaining places in the south where Fraser Fir trees still grow.

Description

The course runs over Little Pinnacle or Haw Orchard Mountain, elevation 5,089 feet, making it the HIGHEST race in Virginia!

The trails are beautiful. But don't be fooled, they are anything but smooth and easy, with some very technical sections.
Runners will have a view of Mt. Rogers, the HIGHEST point in Virginia.
