Description

This trail ascends quickly, following switchbacks for nearly 4 miles. At the top of the switchbacks, the trail splits. A right takes you up Griffith Peak Trail, while a left takes you to Mt Charleston. The grade levels out and passes through a burned area. Shade is very sparse. In the final push to the peak, the trail gets steeper.

Either return the same way, or take Trail canyon route. The second option is more exposed, but is a viable option to get down. Although it means walking on the road about 1.5 miles to return to the parking area.
