Runner Notes

To get to this loop, you need to run in about 3.5 miles first, so this loop is usually done as an addition to the out-and-back White Pine Lake Trail.

Description

From the fork in the trails right after the bridge across White Pine Creek, go either to the left or straight to get into this pleasant, short loop. It winds through small forests and sagebrush meadows, which allows for great views of the mountains (Gog and Magog) around and the cirque behind White Pine Lake. There also is the possibility of seeing deer or moose if you come early enough in the morning. Just being up in this gorgeous alpine environment is reward enough for the short jaunt around the loop.
