Description

West Cardiac Hill splits from its namesake after the latter crosses a dry creek bed. The initial path is semi-rocky, winding and making an up-and-down path to the southwest. Like Castner Range Fence Line, many sections of the trail are bordered by tall grasses, an unusual feature in the desert.

After a quarter mile, the trail doubles back and descends towards a dry creek bed. It then turns back west towards its end at Blue Moon. If beginning West Cardiac from this side, the GPS track can help in locating it, as the entry is unmarked and easy to miss.

Flora & Fauna

Sumacs, acacias, prickly pears and other species of cacti. Rabbits and birds.
