The Mariposa Grove closed on July 6, 2015, for restoration, and isn't expected to open again until the spring of 2017. See details of the Mariposa Grove Restoration here: nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/…

Description

This is a convenient and generally gentle way to cross through the middle of Mariposa Grove. The roughly east-west trail can be used in either direction. It is partially shaded, traveling though stands of sequoias but it passes fewer meadows than the Grizzly Giant to Faithful Couple Trail to the north. The trail visits the California Tunnel tree at its eastern end, which is one of the highlights of the trail.
