Must have a Wilderness pass to park along the road. There is plenty of parking at the Cloudburst Summit Trailhead.

Description

A nice easy run to Burkhart Trail camp for an overnight backpacking trip. Along the way you'll experience great views comparable to the Sierras. This is a nice alpine location minutes away from Los Angeles. You can take this back to return to the parking lot for an out-and-back, or you can go around and take the Burkhart Trail to Buckhorn Campground. You'll need to coordinate a shuttle if that is the choice.

Flora & Fauna

Great alpine mountain views and great flowers.
