Need to Know
The Trailhead is right on Needles Highway. It has limited parking spots.
Runner Notes
The trail is very overgrown, narrow and rugged.
Description
From the parking lot, follow the trail that heads north toward the Cathedral Spires. At 0.4-miles there is a small overgrown trail on the right side. The trail is narrow, overgrown and rugged. It wanders up by the spires through the trees and ends at a point with an incredible view of the valleys and mountains to the North.
Flora & Fauna
Some of the birds you might see here are the pinyon jay, gray jay, three-toed woodpecker, black-backed woodpecker, American dipper, and ruffed grouse. Introduced mountain goats can be found along with white-tail and mule deer, bighorn sheep, elk, and cougars.
