Need to Know
Make sure to stop by the museum if it is open. And watch for the canal cat. He is friendly.
The tow path on the north side is smooth and well maintained. The one on the south side is not a smooth.
This path includes the small nature trail to the side. Most of the trail is flat and level. There is parking on either end of the trail. If you take the nature trail, it is well worn, not a wide, and a lot of tree roots in the trail. If you want more, you can cross the bridge near the museum and go down the other side of the canal.
Flora & Fauna
fish, frogs, and turtles in the canal. Birds in the woods.
