Antler Point Trail is found in the very northern corner of Joseph D. Grant County Park, at the end of both Canada de Pala Trail and Pala Seca Trail. Antler Point Trail continues on a high grassy ridge to a wonderful overlook where the metropolitan Bay Area, blue Santa Cruz Mountains, far distant Monterey Peninsula, and rugged Diablo Range, can all be seen.

From the trail junction where Antler Point Trail starts, the trail climbs gradually along the grassy ridge. Antler Point, a small knoll, is passed on the right, and the ridge hillside drops off to the left. There is a bench at Mariposa Point, the viewpoint at the end of the trail, a great place to spend some time, enjoy the views, watch the butterflies (probably why it is named Mariposa Point), and snack.

Grass that is green in the spring, and golden in the summer and fall.
