Need to Know

There's a gun range SOMEWHERE pretty close, but I've never seen it and it shouldn't be a problem - just a heads up when you hear many gun shots.

Description

The loop starts on a gravel road for the first short leg from the parking lot, cuts left into the woods for a while before exiting farther out onto the gravel road. You follow it until the end of the road and make a sharp right to go back into the woods for another long stretch of singletrack.

This loops back to the gravel road and puts you out the way you came... or you can stay and explore this part of the forest more! There are more singletrack trails here - this is just one of the three multi-purpose trails published by CT DEEP.

If you follow the loop, the direction doesn't matter - there are some steep and very rocky sections up and down and I don't think either direction will be better than the other.

The singletracks are nice but the whole forest is very rocky so watch your footing.
