This trail segment is an intermediate trail option of four that all start from the same trailhead; all the trails run clockwise so you begin by going left.

Lake Loop is mainly hard packed smooth dirt with about 30-40% roots that twists and turns through the trees. It is a relatively short loop with a decent gradual decline which results in a pretty decent incline as well.

I didn't see any views of the lake while on the trail. There is pretty low traffic during the week - I only saw two pairs of other trail users on a different trail.
