This loop is only accessible via the Bohanon Loop Trail. From the Bohanon Loop Trail, go right to head south along the western shore of the peninsula. The trail takes you through the lower woods to the beach and past an old homestead. On the way back to the connector, you'll also see part of the old quarry site of the Star Lime Works. This loop has several markers along the path that interpret the past history of this area. This trail is the green loop in the Heritage Trail network (follows green blazes) and makes for a great add-on to the Bohanon Loop.
