Description

Starting behind the visitor center, this is a well-marked path that is easily followed. At about 1.6 miles in length, this loop trail provides runners with two overlooks along the way. When running clockwise, the Little Pinnacle is just a short distance along the left-hand path. Further in around the middle point of the trail, runners will come to the Big Pinnacle. This has a series of steeper stone-and-dirt stairs that ascend to the top of the Big Pinnacle and the second overlook. Continuing on back toward the visitor center, the trail leads through the woods with only slight elevation changes.

Flora & Fauna

There are possibly wild ponies and bears in the area—more likely in the lower areas.
