This trail begins at the Fort Bayard Administrative Site Trailhead. To find the parking area, turn off of Highway 180 and head North toward Fort Bayard Medical Centre. Stay on the road and drive through the medical center until the pavement transitions to a dirt road (Forest Road 536). Follow this road to the parking area and access the trail. Be on the lookout for bikers, hikers and horseback riders as this is a popular trail system.
