Overview

The Jerry Stage 6K (formerly the Sampler) is named in honor of the many years of love, sweat, and tears that Jerry Stage put into the Soapstone Mountain Trail Race. May he rest in peace. The Jerry Stage 6K is part of the annual Soapstone Mountain Trail Race. Both races run through the extremely beautiful and scenic area around Soapstone Mountain, in Shenipsit Forest State Park.

Need to Know

The race venue is hosted at the Reddington Rock Riding Club and features a post-race barbecue. Sign up in advance at Ultrasignup.com

Description

Jerry Stage 6K "SAMPLER" Course - This race starts on the same dirt road as the 22K but turns right onto singletrack within a 1/2 mile and then meanders through thick forest before crossing the same dirt road into a sand pit, back onto singletrack trail, then left onto more dirt road, a right hand turn into the woods and finishing on grassy field. For the race, the course is well marked with flagging and signs.
