Connections with nearby neighborhoods makes this trail popular, so if you'll be moving quickly remember to be courteous to your fellow trail users.
The wide tread found on this trail dates back to the turn of the 20th century, when portions of this old road bed were converted into a bridle path by PATC volunteers. Today, the path is a pleasant, rolling connection from nearby neighborhoods into the Rock Creek Park. The trail connects with the White Horse Trail
, and a variety of loops of varying lengths and difficulties can be created from there.
