This trail is open from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year.
The White Pines Trail starts at the main parking area and connects to both the Gilbert Yager Trail
and the River Trail
, in addition to the Overlook Path, which offers a bench with views of the Rocky River below. The trail passes through a loblolly pine and mixed hardwood forest and it descends the steep bluffs that tower over the Rocky River.

A unique mountain ecosystem exists in the Piedmont, including white pines and mountain laurel.
