Description

Splitting off from the Three Hills Loop Trail near the north hill, the Interstate Spur is just that - an extension along the northern section of the Westside Open Reserve to nearby I-10. Flat, unmaintained, and dull, there is little to recommend it other than adding mileage to a run.

Shortly after crossing over the northernmost dam berm, the Interstate Spur splits off to the right. Faint traces of other paths in the area, washed away by rain, may be visible. The main trail generally parallels the Loop's route around the north hill.

Once reaching the northwest side of the hill, the Interstate Spur continues westbound through a gulley between two residential areas. Eventually, the trail will merge into a disused dirt service road near the Helen of Troy office complex, and soon dead ends into the Interstate 10 frontage road.
