Description

Mitchell Point is a great viewpoint over the Columbia River Gorge! The run to the top is steep and strenuous, but short. The trail has a great combination of terrain from steep forest trail to scree slopes and rocky ridge terrain. It is well worth the run to experience the wind that makes Hood River famous, and enjoy the panoramic views from Mitchell Point.

Short Run: Just over one mile from the parking lot. The parking lot is signed off the highway; the trail is well trodden, but not marked.
