Description

This is the first point from which you can get a clear view of the distant mountains beyond as well as the South Toe Valley below. It is the perfect place to catch the sunrise if you get an early enough start at the trailhead; takes just over an hour to get to this point from the parking area at the base.

Short Run: About 1.8-miles from the trailhead parking area along the Woody Ridge Trail (177).

Muddy, Icy - I did this trailer on 2nd February. Trail gets very icy after 4 miles. would not recommend if you don't have proper gear(crampons ice axe). watch your feet while coming down the trail as the trail is Muddy in a few places because of all the rain. it is very easy to lose 40 and slip and trip and fall while coming down Trail.

Some Mud, Fallen Trees - Eastridge trail was quiet muddy with some standing water. Greybeard trail had over a dozen trees down. Still a fantastic run!
