Amphitheater Lake [Suggest Edits]

Description

Though quite strenuous to get to, Amphitheater Lake is worth the journey. In fact, its remote and hard-to-get-to nature might be what makes it so special.

The lake itself is stunning, especially with Disappointment Peak looming overhead. However, the journey is also part of the reward; the closer you get to the lake, the better the views become of the valley below.

If you're lucky enough to obtain a free backcountry camping permit through the first come, first serve process, or through reservation, don't miss an opportunity to camp at Surprise Lake.
