Description

It's no secret that a visit to the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation area should include at least one water-based stop. Taking the time to visit the Raymondskill Falls provides visitors with the perfect opportunity to take in the power of the Raymondskill Creek over an extended period of time.

The falls themselves are made up of three tiers, which have the effect of creating a dramatic cascade. The frothing falls are the tallest waterfall in Pennsylvania, and combined, the total height is only a few feet shorter than Niagra Falls.

Visitors to the park will enjoy the short trip along the Raymondskill Creek Trail, where the falls soon come into view. There is a lower viewpoint, which highlights the full extent of the tumbling water, and an upper viewpoint, where visitors can take in the serene pool the precedes the waterfall. No matter where you choose to take in the dramatic waterfall, you'll be glad that you stopped to see this superlative feature.

Short Run: A short run on the Raymondskill Creek Trail will bring you to multiple viewpoints. Be aware that the trail can be surprisingly strenuous.
