Lembert Dome [Suggest Edits]

Description

Hiking up Lembert Dome at any time of day is stunning, however, I find it's best in the early evening. This vantage offers sweeping views of Tuolumne Meadows, the Cathedral Range, and other parts of the High Sierras. The Range of Light, as John Muir called it, comes alive at this hour. Note that you should not attempt the summit if there is any sign of a clouds/storming in the sky, because it become very dangerous to hike in a storm due to slippery granite and the exposure.

Short Run: Park at either the Lembert Dome parking lot and hike via Dog Lake or park at the parking lot for the PCT near Tuolumne Meadows and hike the Lembert Dome Trail.
