Overview

This 10-mile course is made up of predominantly singletrack, undulating hills winding through beautiful second-growth forest land and next to the Little River.

Need to Know

The park is open 8am - 5pm. During closed hours the parking lot is gated.

Description

Starting at the small corn crib at the end of the parking lot leading into the trails, follow the bridle path until the flagging turns left at the next corn crib (small and ancient looking log cabin). Continue to follow flagging on the rolling hills and next to the river. After a short while, you leave the river front and ascend the rolling hills until you pop out back on the bridle path.

Follow flagging to the left, re-entering the singletrack on the left when indicated with flagging and signage. After a short while, you'll be back on another portion of the river where you'll cross a small bridge and run river-side for approximately 1/4 of a mile before ascending back into the hills. Follow the flagging and rolling hills for the continuation of the course.

History & Background

Started in 2005 by the TrailHeads, a local 501(c)(3) organization made up of trail runners, the Little River Trail Runs have since that time donated over $127,000 to Little River Regional Park for park maintenance and educational equipment.
