Description

Where the Calkins Creek Truck Trail hits a sharp bend there is a cairn with a rusty bucket on top. Eastward is the Calkins Brook Trail, southward continues the truck trail.

The lower parts of this trail can be buggy, and it requires crosses Calkins Creek, which could be hazardous in the spring. Most of the route is very moderately graded through pine forests.

Towards the top it gets a little rockier, but not difficult. It ends about 0.1 miles north of the true summit of Donaldson, intersecting with the Seward Range Off-Trail Route.
