This trail begins on the Pine Ridge Trail #3443 about 3.5 miles up from the trailhead at a signed intersection. The trail begins gaining steady but moderate elevation as it heads south. The trail's surface is dusty with some small pumice scattered across it but obstacle-free overall. There is limited shade as the trees are thin so expect it to be hot going. The trail never gets super steep either. Keep going as it bends around to the east. The trail ends at a prominent rock ledge that once hosted a fire watchtower. You'll be treated to views from Coffin and Bachelor Mountains to the west, the tip of Hood, and Three Fingered Jack to the south. The star is Mount Jefferson over Marion Lake below.
