Need to Know

This park is like a secret escape within Tacoma, so users should not be surprised to see few other visitors. If you don't like the idea of being alone, bring a friend or a cell phone.

Description

China Lake Park is made up of 11 acres of largely undeveloped land, so no bathrooms or picnic tables are to be found. You'll find one of the largest lakes within city limits in this quiet escape.

A small parking area on the south side of the park leads through a meadow. This well-maintained trail tours through the forest and around China Lake.

Flora & Fauna

Birds, lake wildlife, and lily pads can all be found here.
