Good gravel running surface

This is an actual road, the main road into the headquarters area for Vinton Furrnace Experimental Forest. It is gravel, well-kept, and very level. During the week the entrance gate is open and you can drive up it and park at the main area. On weekends this road essentially becomes a trail, with a parking area by the locked gate. This is the only way to access the rest of the park and the trails. This is an area where the state conducts research on forestry projects, but since it's also a state forest it is open to foot traffic.
